Montana Moves Closer to Recreational Launch

Montana is moving closer to the launch of its recreational program scheduled for January 1. While this state has a population of barely over 1 million, experts expect sales to exceed $300M in annual sales by 2025.

While the state expects many recreational users to be tourists, many businesses believe that weak cultivation and processing capacity could lead to a supply shortage, particularly for edible and vape products.

The road to a fully-launched recreational program in the “treasure state” may be bumpy until officials iron out the adult-use rules and ease up production regulations.
