High fuel prices are undermining North American cannabis delivery firms, pushing some industry leaders to think about converting to electric vehicles.
According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of regular gasoline has increased to $4.24 per gallon compared with $2.88 per gallon one year ago.
Friends up north are also seeing massive price jumps. The Canadian Automobile Association reported the average national price has gone up from $1.21 CAD ($0.96 cents USD) per liter to $1.72 CAD in only a year.
Ari Cohen, who owns a Denver-based cannabis delivery company Doobba, was advised that Subaru Imprezas would be the best bet for his delivery fleet. However, Choen is considering EVs to drop pot deliveries to customers.
