Pro-Pot Lawmakers Launch a Congressional Cannabis Caucus

Four members of the U.S. congress are banding together to protect the growing marijuana industry.

A bipartisan group of federal lawmakers launched the Congressional Cannabis Caucus in a press conference at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday afternoon. Republican congressmen Dana Rohrabacher (California) and Don Young (Alaska) joined Democrats Earl Blumenauer (Oregon) and Jared Polis (Colorado) to launch the new group. Respect States Marijuana Laws Act of 2017 Introduced by Republican Congressman

Cannabis advocate, Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), introduced the Respect States Marijuana Laws Act of 2017 this week. The bill is aimed at protecting individuals in the cannabis industry against threats of federal prosecution.

The bill, HR975 was introduced by the longtime Congressional ally to the cannabis industry, and Trump supporter Rep. Rohrabacher.
